Called Rose Veal for its lovely rosy hue. It tastes like a milder, tenderer version of beef. It is an entirely different product than the bland white or pinkish meat you see as veal sold in supermarkets.
*** FYI: our butcher accidentally ran this through the grinder mixer after a batch of veal garlic sausage, so there is a slight garlic smell/taste to this batch. If you aren't a fan of garlic, please don't buy this time around!!!
